Visual (Wide): A 1/2″ CMOS sensor delivers 48MP image capture across a wide 84° diagonal field of view.
Visual (Tele): With an 8MP 1/1.8″ CMOS sensor, you can capture images and videos in up to 4K resolution, and with up to 35x optical zoom and 560x digital zoom, you can do so from a comfortable and safe distance.
Thermal (Wide & Telephoto): Featuring an uncooled VOx microbolometer sensor, the Wide Angle thermal camera offers a 13mm focal length for broad coverage, while the Telephoto camera offers long-range capture with a 45mm focal length. Both measure temperatures from -40°C to 1022°F, capture thermal images at 640 x 512 resolution, and enable secure monitoring with up to 56x digital zoom.
Laser Rangefinder: Get ultra-precise readings of targets from 10 to 2 km away. Know their distance, latitude, longitude, and altitude.

720-degree obstacle avoidance

Combining 5-way dual fisheye vision with 6-way millimeter-wave radar, the Alpha is capable of 720° omnidirectional obstacle avoidance, both day and night. Its system is so precise that it can detect glass, utility poles, and power lines.

Anti-interference

By utilizing a combination of GNSS vision positioning, adaptive frequency hopping transmission, and Autel’s SLAM navigation technology, Alpha pilots can fly confidently near and around complex areas or power lines.

A-Mesh Fleet Networks

The A-Mesh network allows a single pilot to more easily manage a fleet of multiple drones. You can opt for a master-slave system with the Alpha and another compatible drone, or a single-control solution that can manage multiple drones. Communication between drones is autonomous and robust, allowing for operations over long distances or around obstacles such as buildings or mountains.

Autonomy engine

By collecting environmental data from the surrounding environment, Autel’s Autonomy Engine can plan 3D flight paths through the complexities of a densely populated urban or forest landscape. It’s an ideal solution for a wide range of industries and professions, including surveying, industrial inspection, and public safety.

Multi-loading platform

The Alpha features three mounting points that accommodate a variety of optional payloads, making it a flexible solution for diverse mission challenges. Thanks to the Autel PSDK developer platform, the Alpha can accommodate a variety of payloads, including reflectors, speakers, 4G/5G cellular modules, and more.

Skylink 3.0

Enjoy a wide transmission range of 20 km while piloting the Alpha. This is thanks to its four antennas and support for four wireless frequencies: 900 MHz, 2.4 GHz, 5.2 GHz, and 5.8 GHz. While piloting, the Alpha is capable of changing frequencies, selecting the optimal band for control and 1080p30 video transmission. With this capability, you’ll enjoy data speeds of up to 64 Mbps and low latency.

Mission Types

Quick: Create temporary quick quests while completing other quests. Multiple sub-quests can be stacked.
Waypoint: Add waypoints for custom flight routes.
Polygon: Quickly cover an area of interest with polygon-shaped flight paths in one click.

Smart features

Tripod: This feature locks the gimbal to a specific subject while the Alpha hovers and automatically follows the subject’s movements, keeping it centered in the frame.
AI Target Recognition: Using Autel’s AI recognition technology, this feature will automatically identify and focus on different types of targets, such as people, boats, and land vehicles. When this happens, the target’s location is displayed on the map.

Data security

Thanks to AES-256 data encryption, photos, videos, and flight logs are password-protected. Additionally, user and aircraft data, such as flight logs, locations, and account information, are kept secure, as they can only be accessed through physical access to the aircraft.
